Writers Museum (The Writers' Museum) is located on a narrow street, a branch of the Royal mile. Portraits, manuscripts and personal belongings, presented here, tell us about the life and work of Robert Burns, Sir Walter Scott and Robert Louis Stevenson. In addition, the museum held a special exhibition devoted to other well-known Scottish writers past and present. The medieval courtyard, located in front of the museum, called "Makers' Court", here, on a cobblestone street, engraved sayings Scottish authors in the last 600 years.
