Odessa port - one of the largest ports in the Black Sea-Azov basin, located in north-western Black Sea at the crossroads of historic trade routes between East and West. The port is the leader in terms of transshipment ports of Ukraine and the largest passenger port in the Black Sea.

The overall port management and control of navigation in the port of Odessa provides state enterprise "Odessa Commercial Sea Port" (abbreviated SE "Odessa Commercial Sea Port" and SE "OMTP")

Technical capabilities allow port overloading of more than 21 million tons of dry and 25 million tons of bulk cargo per year. Container terminals are designed to overload over 900 000 TEU per year. Passenger complex is able to cater for up to 4 million tourists a year.

Accepted for handling the following types of goods: petroleum and petroleum products in bulk, liquefied gas, tropical and vegetable oils, technical oils, containers of all types and sizes, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, ore, pig iron, raw sugar in bulk, grain in bulk, perishable cargo in containers and various cargoes in bags, boxes, bags, big bags and consolidated cargo units, vehicles. The exceptions are goods that are potentially dangerous for the environment.

At the port are: eight production-transshipment complex processing of dry cargo, passenger terminal, an oil and two container terminal facilities for handling vegetable and industrial oils, there are specialized berths for the reception of ro-ro ships, handling grain cargoes.

On the territory of the Quarantine Pier operates a free (ad hoc) Economic Zone "Porto-Franco".

Developed transport infrastructure can deliver the goods at the port by road, rail, sea and river transport. To ensure high productivity container handling port created and developed "dry port" and a special flyover, which allows trucks to drive into a port city and highway bypassing the expected arrival at a specially equipped area "dry port".

A modern port is a form of public-private partnership, which involved more than 400 small and medium-sized businesses that perform a wide range of port services.

In the Enterprise "OMTP" and stevedoring companies, there are over 8000 jobs and another 100 thousand jobs in the private and public structures, the robot is directly or indirectly related to port activities. The city's economy and the region closely linked to the port of Odessa as a powerful trade and transport hub around which a high concentration of freight forwarders, trucking companies, maritime agencies, wholesalers, construction and others.

- Cargo handling terminal in the oil and gas;
- Provision of boarding-disembarking at Passenger Terminal;
- Maintenance of cargo and passenger ship service and support its own fleet;
- Repairs ships;
- Bunkering water at the berth and at anchor;
- Freight forwarding and customs brokerage services;
- Stuffing and rasstafirovanie containers;
- Reception from ships bilge, ballast water and debris;
- Providing concert and exhibition halls, and other maritime passenger transport for exhibitions, conferences, concerts and other events;
