Muddus National Park
Reserve begins east of the town of Jokkmokk.
This is a huge park area of 500 square kilometers.
It was founded in 1942 and enlarged in 1984.
Previously, this area was inhabited until 1909.
In the forests of the reserve was never made cutting.
The national reserve Muddus half of the territory is a swamp.
Also here you can see the picturesque waterfall of 42 meters, the gorge Moskoskoru - its depth is over 100 meters.
Here grows the oldest tree in Sweden - a pine tree, whose age is over 700 years, and it was found that the tree survived a forest fire in 1413.
Muddus included in the UNESCO World Heritage list since 1996.
