BASTAD
The ancient village on the shore of a vast bay Laholms-Bukten has now evolved into a trendy city with numerous hotels and chic restaurants.

After a catastrophic fire in 1870 that almost destroyed Bostad, there is still some old houses with sloping roofs and painted in pastel facades with projecting wooden beams, which are drowning in roses along the charming streets Agardsgatan.

For the first time the city rights were granted in 14 or 15 century when the area still belonged to Denmark. This area was conquered by Sweden in 1658 and 1664.

In 1858 Bostad received the status of the merchant city.

This town on the sea stretches along the central streets, where shops are concentrated. The main artery of the city ends with a wide paved area.

Cobbled streets down to the port. On the coast there are boats and fishing boats. Near the sandy beach, pier, and sandwiched between verdant meadows.
With a wooden cabins and campers, who are mostly elderly couples behave with extraordinary dignity, it seems that you are in the beginning of last century.

Above the beach - tennis clay courts, where every year since 1948 is Open men's tennis in Sweden.
Women's Tennis Association tournament held in Bostade since 2009.
